3 1/4 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups unsalted butter, room temperature
2 cups sugar
1 1/2 tablespoons vanilla bean extract
8 large eggs
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup dark chocolate chips
Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease Grease two 9×5 bread pans and line with parchment paper. I like to let the parchment hang over the corners to help with removal after baking.
Sift the flour, baking powder and salt into a large bowl.
With an electric mixer, cream the butter and sugar until they are well incorporated and the mixture is a pale color. Add the vanilla extract.
Add the eggs in one at a time into the butter mixture and blend in between. Fold in the dry ingredients and chocolate chip pieces and place the batter in the two bread pans.
Bake until a toothpick inserted into center of the cakes comes out clean, this will take about 60-70 minutes. Let the loaves cool before removing from the pan.
