2 tablespoons oil (grape seed or your preferred oil)
2 tablespoons urud dhal
1 tablespoon black mustard seeds
1lb green beans, cut into 1/4 in ch pieces
2 red chili peppers, broken in half
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup unsweetened shredded coconut
Heat the oil to medium-low heat in a large pan and add the urud dhal and black mustard seeds. Once the seeds begin to pop, add the green beans and the red chili peppers.
Allow the beans to cook thoroughly which will take 12-15 minutes. Add the the salt and taste one piece to ensure it is fully cooked.
Add the shredded coconut and allow it to cook for 3-4 minutes.
